Agave is a type specimen analysis book that analyzes key characteristics of the typeface ‘Agave’, designed by Barrett Reid-Maroney, while exploring its relation to Wes Anderson’s film, Asteroid City. Through its free-flowing character set and dynamic, unsystematic qualities, Agave was born to encapsulate the film’s whimsical plotline, which informed how I approached the design of the book itself.
